The snowdrops garden

arona 2018 – ongoing

A garden bordering a forest covered in winter with a multitude of snowdrops (Galanthus nivalis)
This is a garden that we have worked on for years with a lot of patience to find out which plants are suitable to border the area and at the same time maintain a visible permeability between the garden and the forest.

The entrance to the garden is marked by three Soulangeana magnolias and an inclined low wall that leads you home along a path covered with white flagstones.
The rest of the garden is designed as a large embrace of simple plants and connected to the woodland, such as Corylus avellana, Salix spp, Carex secta, Agastache rupestris…
To the right of the entrance are a grove of Betula utilis, perennials, and shady small shrubs at a higher level of the garden.

A natural or ecological garden with plants typical of the forest: an oasis of botanical biodiversity with low maintenance, following the natural cycles of the seasons.
