We deal with the design of gardens and green spaces on a broad scale:
• terraces, flower beds, small gardens
• gardens, hanging gardens, therapeutic gardens, parks, and green areas in general
in particular, we can offer the following:
• investigations on the spot
• feasibility studies
• paperwork for the landscape
• general definitive projects
• construction details
• projects for the choice of greenery
• calculations and technical layouts
• operational management
• maintenance plan
Our services range from the preliminary planning of gardens to their implementation, from construction to maintenance. Once a garden is completed, we take care of its growth and evolution over the years, because the true beauty of a garden is only discovered over time.
A passion that originates in art and architecture and waves together with family: a great-grandfather, a father, and a brother, all chemists. Is it possible that maybe the chemistry of the landscape exists? After all, every natural process is based on chemistry and physics.
Wood is the area that most inspires Studio Gatti’s projects. A design that matches and works with nature as much as possible, because the garden is always a combination of the work of man and the work of nature.
Giuliana Gatti Architect and landscape architect.
Designs, experiments, and carries out interventions in the landscape and garden architecture field. Her professional career began in 1993 in Berlin, where she started collaborating with important landscape architecture studios, including TBDlandschaftarchitektur. Back in Italy, she specialized in landscape architecture, working exclusively on open space projects in both the public and private sectors.
In 1999 she joins AIAPP, the Italian Association of Landscape Architecture, of which she is currently Vicepresident of the Lombardy Section. From 2012 to 2016 she was editor of Architettura del Paesaggio magazine, the voice of AIAPP and an important national and international reference point. In 2000 she opened her own professional studio and until 2015 she combined her professional activities with university teaching of Landscape Architecture as an adjunct lecturer at the School of Architecture of the Milan-Bovisa Polytechnic. She has taken part in numerous landscape architecture design competitions, winning several prizes.
In 2020 she was selected with Luisa Limido for the famous Festival International du Jardin de Chaumont sur Loire one of the most important international festivals for garden experimentation.
Recently, she has also been involved in vocational training within professional associations (in Milan, Varese) for which she has organised courses dedicated to landscape. Moreover, she devotes herself to painting to explore other forms of expression.
Giulia Calzetti Landscape architect and agronomist.
She graduated in Agricultural Science and Technology from the Politecnico of Ancona and then specialized as a landscape architect at the Faculty of Architecture and Design (DAD) of the University of Genoa.
Even as a small child, she was attracted to everything that had to do with nature. Through her studies and her work experiences, she created an inseparable connection with nature and developed a great passion for gardens and landscape design. She believes that the landscape architect plays an essential role in the future of the built environment and in the relationship between man and nature in order to preserve natural resources.
She currently works as a landscape architect and collaborates with Giuliana Gatti’s studio.
